Praying Scripture is not a technique. It is simply letting God’s words shape yours, so that what you ask is what He has already promised to give. Each prayer below is built from verses you can check, with a short note on why the line is there.

How to pray a passage

Read the verses once for meaning. Read them again and stop at the line that touches you. Say that line back to God in your own words, then wait a moment. Then say what it makes you want to ask for, confess, or give thanks for. That is the whole practice; the rest is repetition.
