This is an independent Christian site. It exists for one reason: to help you come to God through His Word, every day, and to send you back to Him in prayer.
What you will find here
Short daily devotions on a single passage. Prayers built line by line from Scripture. Plain help with hearing God, with what to do when He seems silent, and with testing what you sense against the Bible. And a conversation companion that answers from Scripture when you want to think something through.
There are no accounts, no sign-ups and nothing to buy. You can read, pray, and leave.
The Name
“This is My name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.”
When Moses asked God what to tell the Israelites, God answered with His name (Exodus 3:14–15). In Hebrew it is written with four consonants, YHWH, and out of reverence Jewish readers came to say “Adonai”, meaning Lord, whenever they reached it. That is why most English Bibles, including the one quoted on this site, print the name as the LORD in capitals. “Yahweh” is the most widely accepted way of saying it aloud today; “Jehovah” is an older English form built from the same four letters. Neither is wrong, and no one who uses either is wrong.
This site carries the name because a name is how someone lets you know them. God did not stay anonymous. He told His people how to call on Him, and He still answers.

Companion is not God
Companion is not God and not a pastor. It answers from the Bible and public-domain Christian writings, so that you can take everything back to the LORD in prayer.
Companion never speaks in God’s voice and never claims to carry a message from Him. It does not know you, cannot hear the Spirit for you, and cannot replace a pastor, a church, a doctor or a trusted friend. It can bring you to what Scripture says, quote it accurately, and suggest a way to pray. Everything it offers should be tested against the Bible and taken to God in prayer.

What this site believes
We hold the historic Christian faith as the church has confessed it from the earliest centuries: one God in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; Jesus Christ fully God and fully man, crucified for our sins and raised bodily from the dead; salvation by grace through faith in Him; and the Bible as God’s written Word and the final authority for what we believe and how we live. On matters where faithful Christians have long differed, the site tries to describe the main views fairly and says gently where it leans. It belongs to no denomination and speaks against none.
How the Scripture quotations are checked
Every verse quoted here is from the Berean Standard Bible, which is in the public domain, and every quotation is checked word for word against the published text before a page goes live. If you find a quotation that does not match, please write to contact@yahweh.chat and it will be corrected.
